Some simple statistics of our 70+ years of performing Gilbert & Sullivan operatta's.
▪ We've only used 4 different venues - 2 of which have been pulled down and a third re-purposed (from a chapel to offices).
▪ Including 2024's production of "Ruddigore", we will have used 22 different directors and 20 different Musical Directors.
Link to Operetta Summary - The Society has never performed Gilbert and Sullivan's very first collaboration, Thespis, primarily because the music was lost. One notable exception is the song "Climbing Over Rocky Mountain", which Sullivan transplanted into Pirates of Penzance (which we've performed many times).
Since we were formed in 1949 we have performed a G&S operetta every year (except COVID impacted 2020 & 2021), performing all but one of their 14 creations. The exception being "Thespis" for which the music was lost. Some we have performed several times, others but rarely. Grand Duke has only been performed once whilst "The Mikado" has now been done 9 times. Here's the exhaustive list. Highlighted shows link to associated cast list and photos (where available).

We have catalogued 75 of our 79 costumed productions. For the majority of productions before 2002 (before digital cameras came generally available) we lack photographs of the production. If anyone can help, please don't hesitate to contact us.
