This was the 34th production and the fourth time the Society had presented "Princess Ida" (alternatively known as "Castle Adamant").
1982 saw the first of our productions to be performed in Batley Town Hall, following the closure of Crossbank Sunday School. We would spend a further 5 years here before moving to Dewsbury Little Theatre. In 2011 we moved back to the Town Hall following the closure of the Little Theatre.
This production saw Steven Greenwood move from playing principal roles to becoming our Producer/Director. Steven joined us in 1974, playing a number of principal roles including Ralph Rackstraw in "Ruddigore", Frederic in "Pirates" and Cyril in the 1976 production of "Princess Ida".
