1985 saw the third time the Society had produced "Patience".
G&S opera given sparkle. So said the Batley News of our 1985 production of "Patience". Read the review.
"Patience" included a number of historical references to people and places from the 18th and 19th century. Includes Paddington Pollaky (Ignatious Paul Pollaky) an Hungarian who settled in Paddington Green in the 1850's and became famous as a private detective. Some speculation that he was the inspiration for Sherlock Holmes.
